Welcome to The Marais Project www site.  I founded The Marais Project in 2000 to perform the complete works of Marin Marais in the unique context of 21st century Australia.  Over the years our repertoire has greatly expanded and now includes a huge range of wonderful vocal and instrumental music for the viola da gamba from the 1400's to the present.  We also commission and arrange new music for the ensemble.

The Marais Project’s 2012 recital series, our thirteenth, features some very special music.  For concert I we are joined by members of World Music gurus Mara! to launch our joint CD.  Concert II will feature the wonderful viol consort, “Seaven Teares” of which I am a member.  Our final concert is built around Swedish baroque and folk music to celebrate lutenist Tommie Andersson and my Swedish heritage - but Marais will still feature!
